Late Night Refreshment

Late Night Refreshment is a licensable activity if hot food or hot drink is supplied between 2300hrs and 0500hrs for consumption on or off the premises.

Exemptions include a bona-fide hotel guest, member of a recognised club or an employee of the premises.

The supply of hot drinks by a vending machine is not a licensable activity provided the vending machine is operated by a member of the public without any involvement of staff on the premises. The supply of hot food, for a charge, by vending machine is in most instances a licensable activity.
