Training and Qualifications
At this time the only
qualification required by the Licensing Act 2003 is the National Certificate
for Personal Licence Holders.
There are many other
qualifications such as those for Designated Premises Supervisor, Entertainment
Licensees, Door Supervisors, Barpersons etc. One or more of these may be
specifically required as a condition on a Premises Licence or for career
development. They are not, at this stage, a requirement of the Licensing Act
2003.
The National Certificate
for Personal Licence Holders is the first step in making an application for a
Personal Licence. Courses are held in most major towns by a number of
organisations. These usually last one day with an examination taking place at
the end of the course.
The cost can vary
according to the area and organisation.
A W G Licensing Limited
has made arrangements with a local training company, Mannimal, for prospective
Personal Licence holders to have priority booking onto their courses.
If you are
interested in taking advantage of this arrangement you can contact Mike Catling
at Mannimal on 01892 861261, email info@mannimal.co.uk or visit
their website at: www.mannimal.co.uk
If you wish, we
